How Your Donations are Used

From The Heart is able to provide support in many ways through donations made by generous individuals and organizations.  One hundred percent of these contributions support the following efforts:

Hospital visit supplies such as hats for autographs, beanbag toys, and other small presents are provided.

Keepsake photographs are taken of each child with the visiting student-athletes.

The children's playroom at the hospital is stocked with games, books, movies, arts-n-crafts, etc.

A portable TV/VCR unit is provided for confined children's rooms.

Special holidays and birthdays are celebrated with party supplies and small gifts.

Tickets to Wolverine sporting events, transportation, food, and autograph supplies are provided.

Medical equipment and supplies are donated to needy families.

Items that insurance may not cover, such as wheelchairs and special vehicle transportation adapters are provided.

Support is offered to the Special Days Cancer Camp with volunteer time and supplies.

Charity functions like the Special Days Cancer Camp dance & Annual Golf Classic are supported.

Future goals of the organization include forming family support groups and assisting with the various needs of parents of the hospitalized children.
